CLOWNWORLD: Biden’s War on Cops Comes to Phoenix, Blames Police for Homeless Crime

As Bidenflation drives Arizonans onto the streets, the Left’s ultra-politicized Justice Department is blaming police for crimes committed by the homeless.

The Biden Department of Justice just released a report on a years-long “investigation” into civil rights violations of the Phoenix police. The narrative reveals absurd attacks with opinionated outcomes completely unfounded in fact or reality, including attacks against law-abiding gun owners.

The 126-page report highlights many societal problems in Phoenix, including a homeless population that has tripled in ten years. (The woke investigators at the Justice Department call them “unhoused” people.)

The report declares, without evidence, that law-abiding Arizonans who own guns are to blame: “City officials have speculated that the high number of shootings may be attributed, in part, to Arizona gun laws, which authorize open and concealed carry of firearms.”

Phoenix is the largest city in Arizona with a population of 1.6 million, and the fastest-growing city in the nation with 200,000 more people added since 2020.

In 1990, Phoenix’s population was 72% white, 20% Hispanic, 5% black, and 2% Asian. Now it has drastically changed with a significant increase in the Hispanic population—43% Hispanic, 41% white, 7% black, and 4% Asian.

The Biden regime accuses Phoenix police of discriminating against blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans with traffic citations—yet provides no evidence of discrimination. Now cops are pushing back.

Police Refute the Bogus Report

A source who spoke with Phoenix police officers gave Restoration News information about the investigation. According to officers, many events referenced in the report downplay the seriousness of the life-threatening situations that police encounter daily. De-escalation doesn’t always work with people who are on drugs or have weapons and officers must protect themselves and other innocent by-standers—sometimes with lethal force.

The report criticizes officers for sending homeless people to an unsafe, crime-ridden area referred to as “the zone.” Yet “the zone” is where homeless services are located, such as the Central Arizona Shelter Services and other homeless shelters and resources. In other words, the Biden Justice Department is accusing Phoenix police of discrimination for sending the homeless… to homeless shelters. Welcome to Clownworld.

Another condemnation in the report is that officers arrest the homeless too often for trespassing. Yet officers must respond to calls from citizens who report trespassers on private property and enforce laws regarding trespassing on public property. This includes people who are impeding roadways, which happens often. The report further calls for the Phoenix police to have more empathy for people with “behavioral health disabilities”—which are often people who are on drugs and not someone with an actual disability.

Amazingly, the Justice Department report mentions nothing about the massive influx of illegal aliens who’ve entered Arizona since Biden opened the southern border on his first day in office in 2021. A report from February shows that Arizona is the “number one hotspot for migrant crossings.”

Restoration News is leading the nation in reporting on out-of-control illegal alien crime, which Arizonans can track at IllegalAlienCrimes.com.

Arizona’s Republican-led legislature recently passed a bill that would permit state and local police to arrest those in the country illegally—only for Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs to veto it. Fortunately, Arizonans get to decide the issue in November ballot, thanks to a decision by legislative Republicans to send the vote to the people.

No Justice, No Peace

Joe Biden’s Department of Justice has been utilized as a weapon against his political opponents, as shown in the indictment by Jack Smith against President Trump with full approval of Attorney General Merrick Garland. Smith claims that Trump allegedly conspired to defraud the U.S. and obstruct official proceedings simply because he used his First Amendment right to share doubts on the validity of election outcomes. Hillary Clinton said that Trump was an “illegitimate President” and that he stole the 2016 election, yet the Justice Department didn’t go after her—yet another example of the department’s political weaponization against the Democrat Party’s enemies.

If the Justice Department can weaponize the government against a former President, they can do it against anyone. Remember that at the voting booths this fall.
