Tony Evers Chooses Radical Trans Activists Over Female Athletes

The Wisconsin Governor proves there’s no such thing as a moderate Democratic politician

Wisconsin’s far-left Gov. Tony Evers couldn’t be prouder of his party’s assault on girls’ sports.

On April 2, Evers vetoed a bill (AB 377) from the Republican-run legislature that would’ve banned males from female-only sports, an act of aggressive misogyny showcasing his support for the Left’s insane transgender agenda. While Republicans hold large majorities in both houses, they’re still a few votes shy of overriding the veto.

“I believe this bill fails to comport with our Wisconsin values,” Evers crowed in his veto message, saying the bill “perpetuate[s] hateful and discriminatory rhetoric” towards” LGBTQ Wisconsinites, including our transgender and gender nonconforming kids.

“LGBTQ kids, including transgender and gender nonconforming kids, deserve our love and respect and support just like any other kid,” Evers wrote, later bragging that he’s been a consistent and vocal champion for the LGBTQ community during his time as governor.”

Using Title IX to Attack Women

The reality is that Democrats couldn’t care less about protecting girls if it means sacrificing their harmful, mental illness-spreading trans ideology. In March, a biological male middle school student sued an Elkhorn school district for not letting him use the girls’ bathroom.

In Nov. 2023, an 18-year-old (transgender) biological male at a Sun Prairie school allegedly exposed himself to a group of underage girls in the girls’ locker room. Outraged parents demanded action, prompting federal authorities to investigate Title IX violations.

At least 20 percent of individuals who “transition” regret the decision, a statistic the legacy media has suppressed. While activists claim transgender people are happier after “transitioning,” an astonishing 90 percent of those who undergo this operation report at least one “significant form of psychopathology” while 61 percent suffered from “psychiatric disorders and illnesses, notably personality, mood, dissociative, and psychotic disorders,” according to a 2003 survey.

Studies show that so-called “gender-affirming care,” especially hormone therapy and puberty blockers, can cause bone loss and increased risk of thrombosis, heart attack, stroke, infertility, depression, anxiety, drug overdose, and—most tragically—suicide.

From a 2018 study: Half of all teenage transgender girls have attempted suicide. It’s the same story for over 40 percent of “gender nonconforming” and 30 percent of transgender male teens.

Transgender individuals also report significantly higher rates of sexually transmitted diseases. One study found they have some of the “highest concentrated HIV epidemics in the world, with a pooled global prevalence of 19% and a 49-fold higher odds ratio of acquiring HIV than non-transgender adults.”

Evers’ veto relies on a Biden administration decision in June 2021 arbitrarily extending Title IX discrimination protections to include “sexual orientation and gender identity” to please his far-left LGBTQ activist allies. Recall that Title IX was enacted in 1972 to protect girls from discrimination on the basis of sex, not who you have sex with.

Now it’s been weaponized by Democrats to help mentally ill men harass women, the result of feminism eating itself.

Last month, the United Kingdom banned access to puberty blockers for minors, following Sweden and Norway. Don’t count on American leftists to follow suit, no matter how often they demand we emulate Europe.
