Ruben Gallego is a Radical in Moderate’s Clothing

Arizona Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego aligns with the extremists in the Democrat party. His dangerous open border policies and the “sun is racist” extremist climate views prove he can’t be trusted in high office.

Ruben Gallego is running for Arizona’s U.S. Senate seat while pretending to be a middle-of-the-road moderate, but the facts don’t lie—Gallego consistently aligns himself with the far-left extremists of his party.

He defended his pro-terrorist colleague Ilhan Omar after she downplayed the 9/11 attack as “some people did something.” He campaigned with socialist Bernie Sanders, proudly sharing the stage with him at a rally. Radical Rep. Rashida Tlaib said that Israel’s attack against Hamas was “genocide” and she continued to repeat the phrase “from the river to the sea” calling for the elimination of Israel. Yet Gallego voted against a resolution to condemn Tlaib’s abhorrent comments. Even moderate Democrats voted to censure Tlaib, but Gallego is no moderate.

Gallego sponsored an “environmental justice” bill that classified the heat as a public health threat alluding that heat exposure is racist because it is “unequally distributed by race.” He wanted to give $30 million per year in federal tax dollars to cities to build shade structures and create “cooling centers.” Fortunately, the bill didn’t make it through the Republican House.

In 2023, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Gallego for soliciting campaign funds in his official capacity. He sent out a message asking for support of his “sun is racist” legislation and in the same message solicited campaign donations—a violation of House ethics rules.

Money Controversies Follow Gallego Along with His Ethics Complaint

Not only is Gallego aligned with the extremists in his party, but his failed business decisions show his inability to govern in the best interests of the nation.

In 2013, he attempted to start a bank that would financially reward illegal aliens for invading the border. Gallego began the process of creating this business with his partner Joseph Carrillo. They sought to help illegal aliens who didn’t have a credit score obtain mortgages to purchase homes. Credit score requirements exist as a method for banks to determine the risk of a transaction and prevent default of a loan. No legitimate businessman would issue a loan without pulling a credit history. Why would Gallego want to lend money to someone with no credit and who was in the country illegally? Nothing would prevent an illegal alien from moving back to their home country, leaving investors—and ultimately taxpayers—to foot the bill for their defaulted loan.

The business relationship with Carrillo ultimately fell apart and Gallego withdrew from the venture. However, the fact that Gallego would even consider such a terrible enterprise should be a red flag for every Arizona voter.

In Nov. 2023 he called for billions of taxpayer dollars to fund more migrant shelters rather than stemming the flood of illegal aliens crossing the border wreaking havoc on the nation. He wants taxpayers to subsidize criminals coming into the country. Gallego’s financial judgment cannot be trusted.

Gallego puts illegal aliens first, placing criminals above hard-working Arizonans. A recent poll by Steve Cortes’ League of American Workers found that 84 percent of Arizona voters reported families cannot live on a single income. An astounding 72 percent of those surveyed felt the federal government was weak or very weak on controlling the border. Yet, Gallego wants to throw more taxpayer dollars into incentives for illegal aliens to cross into Arizona.

Gallego should spend more time on issues that are actually a problem—like murderers and terrorists crossing the border and harming Americans rather than focusing his energy on bad business ventures and labeling the sun racist. Ruben Gallego’s extreme views and alignment with the radicals in his party is dangerous for America.
