Joe Biden’s Gaffes on Guns Will Make Any Gun Owner—or Anyone with a Brain—Cringe
Let’s take a hilarious stroll down memory lane and revisit our president’s comedic escapades in firearm policy, showcasing some of his most epic blunders about guns leading up to the presidential debate on June 27.
Ever thought about buying an F-15 fighter jet to overthrow the government or searching for Kevlar-vested deer to secure a trophy buck? If not, then you definitely don’t need a so-called “assault rifle”—at least, according to the beautiful mind of aging President Joe Biden.
I say, hand me the fighter jet and let the deer have Kevlar vests—sounds like a good time, Mr. President.
Biden, famous for his outlandish gaffes, a lack of balance, and an ability to grow up in almost any neighborhood that represents a diverse demographic, is gearing up to go head-to-head with former President Donald Trump in the first presidential debate on June 27. Tensions will be high between the two adversaries. We will inevitably see heated moments throughout the debate— with, hopefully, many new gaffes from Biden.
Make no mistake, it is almost certain Biden will address “gun violence,” and I have bets with friends that he’ll call for a so-called “assault weapon” ban once more on prime-time TV. After all, he has worn that record flat over 70 times as president.
But let’s cut the guy some slack. After all, he’s been a career politician for over 50 years. He used to praise segregationists, and once said desegregation would force children to “grow up in a racial jungle.” Some “progressive” president. (Eye roll)

But karma never fails. Now he twirls around like a puppet at the helm of the ever-expanding Left, babbling his way through talking points he can’t quite understand. We can’t resist revisiting his cringiest moments discussing guns, just to remind ourselves of what we definitely don’t want to see in November 2024.
Biden’s Best—Or Worst—Second Amendment Moments
To start things off, it’s important to note that Biden does not view the Second Amendment as an absolute right.
“I respect the culture and the tradition and the concerns of lawful gun owners,” Biden said from the White House. “At the same time, the Second Amendment, like all other rights, is not absolute.”
For gun owners, who have spent their whole lives watching lawmakers make continuous pushes to strip away the Second Amendment, those are not comforting words from the leader of our country. The Second Amendment, a key right provided to the American people that “shall not be infringed.”
Biden has a certain prejudice against 9mm pistols—an American favorite for self-defense. In 2022, Biden told reporters that a 9mm round “blows the lung out of the body.”
You don’t even need to shoot a 9mm to know that’s malarkey.
Americans Can’t Own Fighter Jets?
Biden also sent a peculiar message to American gun owners in 2023, telling them that they would need an F15 fighter jet to take over the government—not an “assault rifle.”
Biden is old, but apparently he’s not old enough to remember that much of the materiel used in the Revolutionary War, and even the Civil War, was privately owned or manufactured. Even the ships used by the Confederacy to run the Union blockade—as one might say, the F-15s of the day—came from private owners.
Of course, in the clip above, he mangled and mocked the quote about the “tree of liberty,” demonstrating his lack of awareness of who said it—Thomas Jefferson. More historical illiteracy from the leader of the free world.
“If you need to worry about taking on the federal government, you need some F-15s,” Biden said, “You don’t need an AR-15.”
Biden reiterates that point in another clip while addressing “right-wingers”:
In addition to his entertaining jab at Americans, where he basically told us our Second Amendment right to overthrow a tyrannical government doesn’t comport with his understanding of American history, he got even weirder by suggesting that deer don’t wear Kevlar vests. So, according to him, that’s why Americans don’t need “assault rifles.”
Let’s not forget that the Left considers a standard semi-automatic hunting rifle an “assault rifle.”
“Deer aren’t wearing kevlar vests out there, what the hell do you need an assault—no I’m serious,” Biden said.
In an appalling move, Biden even exploited his son Hunter Biden’s conviction on gun charges. The president seized the opportunity to advocate for more gun control, claiming it was necessary to “hold families responsible.” Hunter Biden, a 54-year-old drug addict, got sentenced under existing gun control laws, demonstrating that current regulations worked.
Stop projecting, Mr. President.
Biden Forgets the Facts on Guns
Biden is a gaffe machine and clearly doesn’t know what he is talking about when it comes to Second Amendment policy, but he sure tries his best.
In a 2023 speech, Biden claimed that his son Beau Biden was the first attorney general to enforce red flag laws. “As my son was the first to enforce when he was attorney general,” he said.
Beau Biden served as the Delaware attorney general from 2007 until 2015. Delaware passed red flag laws in 2018—three years after Beau’s death.
Biden also claimed that “stabilizing braces,” which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is attempting to regulate, increase the caliber of the bullets in the gun. Anyone with even a passing familiarity with guns knows braces are merely extensions designed to provide more control over the firearm. The caliber of the bullet does not magically change because of them.
Biden also stated that the NRA was above the law and could not be sued. “And the fact that the NRA has such overwhelming power – you know, the NRA is the only outfit in the nation that we cannot sue as an institution,” Biden said. No indication where that one came from.

Biden Taught the Constitution?
Biden went on to assert that he is a Second Amendment teacher (gasp) and told viewers that the Second Amendment lists certain weapons American citizens cannot have—including machine guns.
I must have missed those lines in the actual Constitution.
In fact, more than two-thirds of states permit the ownership and purchase of fully automatic machine guns, provided these firearms were legally registered and possessed before May 19, 1986.
The list of misleading or fully incorrect facts Biden has said over his 3.5 years as president could fill hundreds of pages. Somehow, a man who is barely with us is leading the charge to strip away our inherent natural rights.
He even established his own gun control office in 2023—but of course he named it the “Office of Gun Violence Prevention”—in the finest Orwellian doublespeak tradition.
Empty Remarks from an Old Man
Joe Biden staunchly advocates for gun control now. But if you look at his past, he’s not actually a staunch advocate for gun control—he’s a staunch advocate for getting votes.
While serving as a senator in 1985, Biden stated, “During my twelve-and-a-half years as a member of this body, I have never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime.”
Oh boy has that changed.
Biden’s now on a roll, calling for universal background checks, red flag laws, and assault weapons bans seemingly every single day—all at the federal level.
So, what’s the scoop? Well, Biden swapped his old school Democrat hat for the authoritarian Left one. Wearing that hat, firearms are seen as the ultimate scourge destroying society. Their mantra? It’s all about “gun violence” prevention with a simple ultimatum: You’re either with us on gun control or you’re rooting for school shooters.
Biden has his eyes set on those votes. The polls aren’t exactly cheering for him, and he’s feeling the heat. “Gun violence,” alongside student debt relief and abortion, has become his golden ticket as he desperately tries to woo those emotion-based voters.
But let’s be real, he’s just tugging at people’s heartstrings with deeply flawed policies that strip you of your natural rights, while the friendly establishment media tries to sweep his wildest statements under the rug.
“Did someone say nap time?”—Joe Biden, probably.
