Investigative reporter says House most likely body to stop censorship of conservatives
A Washington Examiner investigative reporter who pulled the curtain on a scheme to censor conservative news outlets says the House of Representatives is the most likely body to stop or slow the censorship.
Gabe Kaminsky made the comments on a recent First Right Podcast with host Gerald Ewalt, noting that Republicans control the chamber and several committees already are looking into his revelations.
“ … And so I, I would expect this more to play out in the House of Representatives,” Kaminsky said.
Kaminsky’s well-circulated series, Disinformation, Inc., revealed the scheme to stifle advertising on conservative news sites via blacklists compiled by organizations such as the Global Disinformation Index (GDI) headquartered in Britain with two American nonprofits as affiliates.
GDI, using government funding, was compiling rankings of news sites that disfavored conservative outlets and favored liberal outlets. The rankings were distributed to advertisers.
Outrage resulting from Disinformation Inc. has prompted several House investigations and a classified Congressional briefing.
